SUSTAINABILITY

SUSTAINABLE BY DESIGN

At 776BC we’re committed to having a positive impact on the communities we serve and environment in which we operate and compete. The pathway to performance is often a long and gruelling path that takes true grit, passion and unwavering determination. We’re committed to producing products built for that journey. Gear built to last.

Nature is the backdrop to our most epic pursuits and we’re committed to respecting and protecting it. This means that sustainable and ethical considerations come first. We’ve made a commitment to minimising our impact on the environment in every way possible. From recycling unused textiles, upcycling used garments, to choosing sustainable fabrics, biodegradable packaging and marketing materials.

SO WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Sustainable Packaging:

We’ve said farewell to single-use plastic for all new 776BC products.

All new 776BC Retail and Teamwear products are packaged in biodegradable Corn-Starch bags.

We also use biodegradable Corn-Starch Shipper bags for all 776BC online orders and re-use packaging including cardboard boxes for the re-delivery of products to our Teamwear customers.

Recycled Marketing Materials:

As of March 2022, all 776BC swing tags will be made from 100% recycled stock.

We have also consolidated the amount of marketing materials we produce across the business. When we need to produce new collateral, we choose 100% recycled stock.

Fabrics:

We’re increasing our use of natural fibres throughout our product range, specifically Merino wool.

We have also made commitment to transition our core 6 fabrics to recycled, renewable or regenerative materials.

We actively seek to minimise wastage throughout our production process, from maximising fabric yields to ensuring tight fabric inventory controls.

Upparel Partnership:

We’re proud to be part of the textile revolution.

We’ve partnered with Upparel to make it possible for you to send your unwanted clothes for reuse and recycling. The textiles are either be donated, upcycled into new items or recycled to make new materials.

You can learn more about our partnership here.

Recycle your clothes in store with our collection bin or order a collection online here.

Head Office:

We’re continuing to improve our Head Office operations to reduce our footprint.

We recycle office waste. We keep printing to a minimum and only use 100% recycled paper. We’re a take-away coffee cup free zone with each team member has their own reusable Keep Cup.

Follow our sustainability journey via our social media channels where we regularly publish updates from our team.
