WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE YOUR SPORT?
I chose rowing because it suited my physiology as well as my love for team sports. It's constantly challenging, both physically and mentally, and training outside is a bonus. I love to race and compete alongside and with my friends.

WHAT’S BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PERFORMANCE, AND WHY?
My first ever World Champs was also the Olympic qualifying regatta so being able to qualify the boat and race on the world stage was amazing. It really solidified my drive to improve to be able to be competitive at the elite level.

WHAT’S BEEN YOUR TOUGHEST CHALLENGE YOU’VE HAD TO FACE IN YOUR SPORT, AND WHAT DID IT TEACH YOU?

Bulging a disc and being out of my collegiate season for 4 months at the University of Washington really highlighted to me how much I love the team and the sport. Not being able to get out on the water with my crew mates was really isolating, but made me appreciate those opportunities so much more once I was healthy again. It taught me to be thankful for every opportunity I get in this sport.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU? WHAT KEEPS YOU GETTING UP EVERY MORNING?
Seeing how far I can take this sport and this team.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUNGER ATHLETES ENTERING THE SPORT ASPIRING GREATNESS ON THE WORLD STAGE?
There's no rush. Enjoy the journey, because there's so much that will happen between now and the goals you are aspiring for. Stay open minded and keen to learn from anyone and everyone you can. And believe in yourself!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF YOUR SPORT? INTERESTS? CAREER?
I love hanging out with my friends and family, eating lots of good food, I love a good nap. I am also interested in coaching rowing, so speaking to younger athletes and getting opportunities to talk to them about any part of rowing or sports related stuff is really fulfilling. I am also interested in athlete nutrition.
